You can track all incoming Direct Debit payments using your Cheqdin online payments page.
Here's a look at what the transaction statuses mean:
In-Progress: These are the transactions which have been submitted to your bank for processing. It can usually take 3- 5 working days from the due date for the processing to be complete.
Success: These are transactions which have been approved, and the payments processed. Both you and the payer will be notified by email once it's approved.
Failed: These are the transactions which the bank was unable to process. It could be because of:
- Insufficient funds
- Mandates not set up properly
- Incorrect account details
- Bank doesn’t give permission to collect payments
- Connectivity/other issues etc.
You can track the exact cause of payment failure by logging into your GoCardless account.
Once you’ve received a payment, the corresponding invoice(s) will be marked as 'Paid'. These can be viewed from the 'Sent Invoices' section in your billing dashboard.
