To post photos and videos for the parents via the notebook app, you will need to be logged into the app via the 'I'm a Staff' option. This is because only staff with the necessary app permissions can post photos and videos.
Please note, to post photos and videos, the child(ren) must have been already signed in for the current day/date. You will not be able to post a photo or video of a child that is not attending on the day.
To post a photo or video to the Notebook timeline:
1. Choose the 'Timeline' option on your home screen dashboard
2. Click on the 'edit/post icon' located in the top right corner of the page. Please note that your view on this page might be slightly different if photos and videos were posted by some other staff member previously.
3. On this screen, you can update the status to let the parent or carer understand what your post is about. Upload a photo or video and press 'Apply To' to choose the child(ren) to whom you wish to assign the post (posts can only be viewed by the parents or carers of the child you assign it to). Press the 'Post' button, and it will be posted to the timeline.
4. Once posted, your post will appear on the staff timeline. On this screen, you will be able to view parent engagement for your posts, such as likes and comments etc (see example below). Please note that only staff who have access to the room/class will see the posts. If you are not able to see content as a staff member, then this could be because you do not have access to view posts of that room or class.
