What is role based access control? How to set up access control?

Modified on Tue, 20 Feb at 2:02 PM

To assign access for staff members or admins, you can do this from the 'Centre Settings' > 'Staff' section on the web portal.

You can assign access to staff when you add staff using the '+ Add Staff' option or edit access for an existing staff member.

To provide access when adding a new staff member, go to 'Centre Settings' > 'Staff' > click on '+ Add Staff' and select the access you wish to provide from the drop-down list and 'Save'.

To edit or change the access of an existing staff member, click on their profile name, under personal info, click on 'Edit' > 'Access Type', make changes and click on 'Save'.

Access control roles explained:

App Access Only
-  This would restrict access to mobile apps only. A user with app access only will not have access to Cheqdin's web portal.

Billing & Payments Access

- This would provide staff access to Cheqdin's web portal with access only to the Billing and payments modules. For example, for a Finance Manager or Accountant.

Operational Access

- This would provide staff access to all modules in Cheqdin's web portal and mobile apps except Billing and Payments. For example, Key workers or after-school club staff.

Full Access

- Access to everything in Cheqdin's web portal and mobile apps. For example, a secondary centre administrator.

Important!

Make sure you have provided access to a room/class to staff that they should have access to. To do this, go to 'Centre Settings' > 'Room/Class' and add the staff to the room.
